When we say we’ve been entertaining guests since 1876, we mean it! When you come to Historic Deadwood you can enjoy Wild West reenactments, live music, Free Main Street concerts, dachshund races, DockDog competitions, SnoCross, rodeos and more! 

Days of '76
Ticketed Events & Concerts

  • Days of '76 - July 25-29, 2017. Truly the "Best Rodeo. No Bull". The Days of '76 Rodeo has been named the PRCA Small Outdoor Rodeo of the Year four times and was named PRCA Midsize Rodeo of the Year for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and again in 2016. The Days of '76 has also held the title of Badlands Circuit Rodeo of the Year since 2002. The 2017 Days of '76 Rodeo and Parades will be held July 25-29, 2017, with free parades on Historic Main Street Deadwood July 28 & 29.
  • Deadwood Jam - Sept. 15-16, 2017. Rock, reggae and blues fill the Black Hills for two incredible days of outdoor concerts. Plus, enjoy food, Wild West entertainment and breath-taking views of the Black Hills. Keep up with fellow Jam fans on Facebook!
  • Deadwood Mountain Grand Events Center- all the big names come here. See today’s rock n roll and country music favorites, as well as music legends and up-and-coming stars. The Deadwood Mountain Grand also hosts a variety of comedy shows throughout the year.

Free Concert Events

Many of Deadwood’s events include free concerts on Main Street. Our events also feature a variety of other free entertainment like parades, dachshund races, DockDogs Competitions, BubbleBall rings and more.  

  • Wild Bill Days- Two days of big name concerts and regional bands performing for free on Main Street. The ever popular DockDogs also compete during this event.
  • Kool Deadwood Nites- classic cars and free classic Rock ‘n’ Roll concerts on Main Street Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Wild West Songwriters Festival- the best songwriters and artists come to Deadwood for informal performances at various locations, writers rounds, and Grand Jam sessions.* (Grand Jam is ticketed.)

Reenactments & Shows

Watch Wild West shootouts, get sworn in a Deadwood Marshall and see stories from Deadwood’s past come alive. Also, enjoy theatrical performance and special casino shows.

  • Main Street Shows & Shootouts- Free on Main Street. Starting at 1:45 p.m. and going every half-hour until 7:45 p.m. Seasonal: mid-May through September 23, 2017.
  • Trial of Jack McCall- Watch the Trial of Jack McCall, the man who shot Wild Bill Hickok. Show starts at 8:00 p.m. at the Masonic Building on Main Street. Small ticket fee. Seasonal: mid-May through September 23, 2017
  • Ladies of Blush- Watch aerial silk performance high above the gaming floor of Cadillac Jack’s. See the Ladies of Blush every Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m. & 10 p.m. 
  • "That's Entertainment!"- Deadwood's NEWEST and ONLY live music dinner show, located at 624 Main Street, directly above the famous Wild Bill Bar. Shows are Tuesday through Saturday. Ticket fee.
